Racing a 12ft Skiff is a unique experience, and takes a high degree of skill, nerve, and dedication, but the rewards are considerable.
If you are considering forming a 12ft Skiff racing team, then the first thing you'll need is a boat (bit obvious really). We have a number of recommended sources for new boats, rigs, and foils (some in the UK and others further afield), and we will actively work with a new team to ensure that they get the right equipment to get them off the starting-blocks without wasting money un-necessarily.
If budgets are a bit tight for a new boat, secondhand boats are often available, but by the nature of the class, these are rarely ever seen advertised. So if you are interested in a secondhand boat, your best bet is to get in-touch wth us at the Class, and we'll do our level best to locate the right boat for you, and as we have contacts in Australia and New Zealand, we can cast our net globally if necessary (and yes, we have been known to ship boats from the other side of the world for people, and it's not as costly or difficut as you might think).
For those who wish to travel, the Class also helps to co-ordinate shipping, flights, and accommoation for any teams wishing to compete in any of the International Regattas, such a the Interdominions, or the Skiff Festival on Lake Garda.

How do I go about getting sponsorship?
The Class is actively talking to companies about the unique marketing and branding opportunities available through sponsorship, and we are always keen to match teams up with sponsors, indeed we usually have potential sponsors waiting for a team!
If you wish, we can look after the signing of the sponsor (with all the contracts and legal stuff), and will also manage the day-to-day management of the sponsor on your behalf, ensuring that they are happy with the Return-on-Investment that they are achiveing, leaving you to concentrate on what you're good at.

Where are the 12ft Skiff bases in the UK?
Currently we have 12ft Skiffs based in the Midlands (at Draycote Water), London (Datchet Water), on the South Coast (Southampton), and in the North East (Newcastle).
